Join us back at Atera for an outstanding rare Champagne dinner featuring Selosse, DP, Cristal, Krug and Salon. Anselme Selosse wines inspire Champagne lovers like no other. Jacques, Anselme’s father started making wine in Avize in 1964 but was buying vines in Avize back to 1947. After studying in Burgundy Anselme took over the estate in 1974 and has elevated the wines of this famous estate to be one of the greatest in Champagne. Dom Perignon is perhaps the most iconic Champagne on the globe. The first vintage released in 1936 was 1921. Richard Geoffroy has been making the wine since 1990 and even in such high quantities the quality is always stunning. DP has an amazing ability to age, its produced in an intentionally reductive style to avoid oxidation which allows the wines to age beautifully. Roederer goes back to 1776 but was named Louis Roederer in 1833 when Louis took charge of the estate.

All the grapes that go into Cristal are from intensely chalky vineyards exclusively owned by Roederer. Cristal needs a good ten plus years in bottle to even start showing its beauty. Krug, founded in 1843, has established itself as the leading estate of Champagne. They make five different wines, all of which are brilliant. The base wines for all are fermented in oak. Krug is famous for its blending, but its two most famous wines are its single vineyard cuvées, the Pinot Noir based, Clos d'Ambonnay and the Chardonnay Clos du Mesnil, many connoisseurs place these two at the pinnacle of the finest Champagne. Salon only produces one wine exclusively from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. At first it was only for private consumption by the family with 1905 being the first recorded vintage and 1921 the first commercial release. From that moment on Salon has enjoyed an incredible following and for good reason the wines are absolutely stunning. Rich with brilliantly focused minerality from the chalky soils of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Join us at one of our favorite restaurants to enjoy these superb wines paired with an incredible meal.
