BURGUNDY’S BEST SERVE UP ANOTHER SIZZLING SALE

The Top Ten Lots of the auction were fueled by Burgundy’s best names, with the top lot of the sale going to six bottles of 2006 Georges Roumier Musigny that sold for $59,760. In a tie for second place, a twelve bottle 1996 Domaine de la Romanee Conti Assortment case and twelve bottles of 2005 Armand Rousseau Chambertin Clos de Beze in OCB each realized $52,290 each. In the fourth and fifth positions were three magnums each of 2010 and 1996 DRC La Tache, both in OWC, that brought in $49,800 and $47,310 respectively. The sixth spot was shared by consecutive lots of twelve bottles each of 2009 and 2010 A. Rousseau Chambertin in OCBs that sold for $43,575 apiece. In eighth place, six magnums of 2015 Dujac Chambertin in OWCs realized $39,840, while a single magnum of 2003 DRC Romanee Conti for $37,350 clinched the ninth spot. Rounding out the Top Ten, in another tie, was six magnums of 2016 Dujac Chambertin in OWCs and six bottles of 2015 DRC La Tache in banded OWC that each fetched $34,860.
