Soaring from the glass in a superb mélange of red plums, cherries, mustard seed, raw cocoa, a touch of gamebird, a very complex base of soil, violets and just a touch of new wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a rather reserved backend, a very sappy core, fine-grained tannins and laser-like focus on the very, very long and youthful finish.
