“The 2015 Feusselottes from the Mugneret sisters is a lovely example of the vintage, with ripe, pure and sappy fruit beautifully bound to a fine base of soil tones. The bouquet is a fine, fine blend of sweet blackberries, black cherries, chocolate, violets, a lovely signature of soil and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and plush on the attack, with a sappy core, fine focus and grip, nascent complexity and a long, velvety and suavely tannic finish. This is loaded with puppy fat fruit of great charm, but there is a good base of soil underneath and one day it may rise up and compete with all this glorious fruit, but for the first decade of the 2015 Feusselottes’ life, this wine is going to be about the prettiest, sappiest fruit one can imagine. 2021-2060.”
