As Butteaux is a warmer vintage, it is not surprising that the inherent generosity of the 2015 vintage is in evidence in this lovely wine. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a lovely blend of pear, apple, beeswax, chalky soil tones and a topnote of spring flowers. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and a bit more fruit-driven in personality than the Montée de Tonnerre, but with a very good spine of acidity running the length of the wine as well. There is a possibility that this wine may firm up nicely after bottling. 2016-2035.
