2018 G. Roumier Chambolle Musigny 750ml

Located in New York

$529.00

SKU 159089 Categories ,
“The 2018 Chambolle AC from Domaine Roumier comes in around 13.4 percent octane and included thirty-five percent whole clusters in this vintage. The resulting wine is deep and promising, offering up a sappy nose of black cherries, plums, chocolate, gamebird, a good base of soil and just a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full, complex and quite long, with a good signature of soil, a rock solid core, fine-grained tannins and a long, primary and nicely balanced finish. This is riper in personality, but is fresh and pure at the same time. 2027-2055.”

Reviews & Scores
"...positively bulging with black and red fruit on the nose of dense blackberry and bilberry; a light marine influence surfaces with time. The palate is well balanced with firm, grippy tannins that feel more robust and slightly drier than the 2019 compared alongside."

Roumier's 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village opens in the glass with notes of ripe cherries, raspberries and plums, complemented by hints of warm spices, smoke and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, it's ripe and muscular, with a lively core of fruit and rich, powdery tannins.
