100% Tempranillo aged 16 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. It’s rich and bold, offering blackberry and black cherry aromas along with hints of toffee (age) and coffee (oak). Despite its age, this is very vibrant in the mouth, with uber smooth tannins that can only come from bottle age. Hints of chocolate and anise linger on the finish. Roasted lamb or a lamb stew would be the perfect pairing here. Wine Spectator: 93 Points This polished, graceful red shows a mix of fresh and maturing flavors, with plum and currant notes balanced by loamy earth, underbrush and leather accents. Smooth on the palate, with well-integrated tannins and gentle acidity. Drink now through 2027. 800 cases made, 100 cases imported.
