Reviews & Scores
The aromas of red soils and tile come through with lots of fresh herbs. Full-bodied, yet layered and rich with lots of ripe fruit too. Very unique rust at the end. Drink or hold.

Slow to unfold, this is a tight yet supple effort that should only get better, as the core dark berry, mocha, cedar and grap hite flavors are focused and balanced, ending long and pure.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Tierra Roja Vineyard is a sensual, deep wine. The flavors are dark, intense and mysterious, with plenty of the character of this eastern Oakville site. Black cherry, smoke, leather, licorice and cedar add nuance, but it is the wine's creaminess and overall texture that are among its most distinctive attributes. Best of all, the 2015 will drink well with minimal cellaring.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Tierra Roja is one of the more forward, plush, soft Cabernets in the lineup. It boasts a deep purple color as well as loads of plum and blueberry fruit, supple, soft tannin, a sumptuous texture, and no hard edges. Like all these 2015 from Tor, it stays light and graceful on the palate and is a joy to drink.
