Once again there is a really lovely coolness to the restrained red Pinot fruit aromas that are trimmed in subtle earth while also flashing a superb range of floral elements. There is a beguiling tension and delineation to the stony medium weight flavors that terminate in youthfully austere finish that isn't quite as complex. Still, this should add more depth with a few years in bottle.

Impressive ripeness from this sunny, fairly homogeneous terroir in Couchey. Half of the fruit is from very old vines and fermented as whole clusters; while the fruit of the younger vines is destemmed. Ageing will be 18 months in mostly used casks. The ripe, plummy fruit shows supple, velvety tannins and moderate length on the palate
