Quite deeply colored, which is unusual for a wine vinified with a high percentage of stems. Relatively prominent wood fights a bit with the very ripe floral and liqueur of cassis and red raspberry-infused nose. The big-bodied flavors are seductive, concentrated and positively brimming with dry extract that buffers the very firm and dry flavors that culminate in a palate staining and hugely long and linear finish.
