"A very fresh and unusually bright but more deeply pitched red fruit nose inflected with iron suffused earth, hints of underbrush and subtle sauvage notes leads to rich, full and admirably intense flavors that are at once powerful yet supple, all wrapped in a punchy and more complex and minerally finish than what I usually find here. Good stuff with excellent acid/fruit/tannin balance and recommended."

The bouquet is deep, beautiful and bottomless, as it offers up a sappy black cherries, plums, slightly roasted fruit elements as well, dark chocolate, fresh herbs, spice tones and a superb base of soil. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, sappy and closing down considerably for hibernation, with a rock solid core of pure fruit, ripe, but firm and substantial tannins, lovely acids, impeccable focus and superb length and grip on the still very primary, palate-staining finish.
