The legendary Vogüé family Domaine can be traced back to the Middle Ages. Comte George de Vogüé took the helm in 1925 but the Domaine came to prominence during the 1940’ 50’s and 60’s. It was during this era when George Roumier and his son Alain Roumier took the helm. During this period several legendary wines were produced and are considered some of the greatest treasures of Burgundy. The modern regime was headed by of François Millet, who started in 1985 and has led a renaissance of the estate in the 1990s. Musigny is made up of three lieux-dits; Les Grands Musigny (5.90 hectares), Les Petits Musigny (4.19 hectares), and La Combe d’Orveau (0.77 hectares). Vogüé owns Les Petits Musigny in its entirety and the lion’s share of Les Grands Musigny.
