Roulot is one of the great names in Meursault. The Domaine gained some attention in the United States when they hired a young American wine maker named Ted Lemon. Guy Roulot passed away in 1982 and Lemom left in 1983. Guy’s son Jean-Marc Roulot, a French actor with a passion for wine took over the family Domaine in 1989 arguably elevating an already top Domaine to even greater heights. The vineyards have been organic since 1999 with some biodynamic trials. All the wines are outstanding, but a few stand out, notably his Perrières which was purchased in 1976 with vines going back to the 1940’s. Jean-Marc has added Poruzots and the monopole Clos des Bouchères in 2011 to his list of top vineyards. His Clos des Bouchères is one of his greatest. The Les Tessons, Clos de Mon Plaisir’ is an iconic wine of the estate, it’s a village wine that drinks like a top premier cru. He also makes a brilliant Corton-Charlemagne and a Puligny-Montrachet Le Cailleret. Join us for an evening of incredible White Burgundy from one of Frances top estates.
