In honor of our two century milestone, an incredible series of events has been planned where we will be joined by several esteemed winemakers who we are honored to count as friends. These events constitute just one part of a magnificent week leading up to our February 7th and 8th two-day auction extravaganza, headlined by 200 lots direct from forty of the world’s finest Domaines and Châteaux in honor of Acker’s 200th Anniversary.

Dugat-Py makes some of the benchmark wines of Gevrey Chambertin. Working alongside his father since 1997, Loïc Dugat took over winemaking duties from his father Bernard in 2013, representing the 13th generation of winegrowers in his family. The 80-year-old massale-selected vines planted by his great grandfather continue to drive these wines of balance and terroir. Yields are extremely low, and the winemaking is non-interventionalist. The vineyards have been organic since 2003, and Loïc is now considering converting the estate to biodynamic principles. This is an outstanding estate, and under the control of Loïc Dugat the quality has never been better. We are honored to welcome Loïc to New York and celebrate the wines of Dugat-Py!

This under the radar Domaine is quickly becoming one of the superstar estates of Burgundy. Jean-Yves Bizot is a professor of viticulture and oenology in Beaune who coincidentally lived across the street from Henri Jayer’s residence in Vosne. The two shared neighboring parcels in the vineyards and, while working the vines, they would discuss techniques and winemaking practices together. Bizot adopted some of Jayer’s techniques in his own cellar, such as a pre-fermentation cold soak, but there are several, key differences, such as Bizot using exclusively whole clusters, working his vineyards organically and eschewing the use of SO2 during vinification and élevage. Bizot’s wines are classic Burgundies, bottled by hand, without filtration. These old-vine, miniscule production wines are prime material for the Burgundy connoisseur who seeks purity, terroir distinction and balance. We are honored to welcome Bizot’s right hand man Thomas Berry to New York to celebrate these incredible wines.

Join us at Per Se to welcome Comte Louis Michel Liger-Belair, one of the biggest stars in Burgundy today, for an unprecedented, complete vertical of his Vosne Romanée Aux Reignots spanning every vintage that he has ever produced: 2002 to 2017. Louis Michel also had a close relationship with Henri Jayer and is considered by many to be the spiritual successor to Henri. Despite a family history that has dated back centuries, Liger-Belair has risen to the top of Burgundy again in the last two decades. The wines of the Domaine are majestic in scale and incredibly concentrated without any sense of heaviness, offering a profound sensory experience. The Aux Reignots vineyard is a 1.62-hectare plot, situated just above La Romanée on hard limestone. This is classic Vosne Romanee, combining exotic spice, complexity and elegance. This highly anticipated event will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Wines will include every vintage of Vosne Romanée Aux Reignots from 2002 to 2017.
