Bodegas Olarra, now part of group of three wineries, was established in 1973. Situated in the far east of Rioja Alta, the estate is located in the outskirts of Logroño. Traditional of the region at large, these wines are Tempranillo dominant. The 2005 Laztana Gran Reserva being a blend of 80% Tempranillo, and 5% each of Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo. This wine has a bouquet redolent of pepper, clove, raw meats, and iron with hints of potpourri and raspberry.
