"While slender in profile, concentrated blackberry and cassis flavors reverberate through this piercing Syrah. It's smoky and perfumed, accented by hints of licorice, lavender and violet. Primary fruit and floral tones as well as ripe, integrated tannins are attractive now but the wine should improve through 2036."

Opaque ruby. Pungent aromas of fresh dark berries, potpourri and spicecake reveal a bright mineral overtone and a hint of olive paste. Juicy and sharply focused on the palate, offering intense black and blue fruit flavors and a deeper suggestion of candied licorice. Closes with excellent clarity and minerally thrust, leaving behind a suave floral note on the very long, gently tannic finish. V
