2014 Waris-Larmandier Brut Nature les Terres des Buissons, Grand Cru 750ml

Located in New York

$189.00

SKU 185867 Category
Les Terres de Buissons is a special place for the family; this lieux-dit is a historic crossroads between four Grand Cru villages, and the meeting place for harvesters to gather, eat and drink after a long day of harvest. The Waris-Larmandier family prides itself on the family aspect of their treatment of harvesters, which continues to this day! In any event, this is a .34-hectare parcel planted back in 1969 where Mont Aigu and Le Gros Mont meet. Aged and crafted in the same way that the Les Regards d’Avize is, this wine shows its pure chalk terroir, with a stern but evolving complex fragrance showing white and yellow flowers, lemon and yuzu, and stunning mineral scents. The palate is incredibly balanced, elegant, rich and long, with terrific salinity on the back end and finish! Absolutely gorgeous, though sadly, it will be the final vintage that the Waris family will make of this wine, as they lost the parcel to other family members. Don’t miss this gem!
