A very ripe nose and now fully mature nose stops just short of surmaturité now evidences the first hints of sous bois that gives way to exceptionally rich broad-shouldered flavors that are supported by relatively resolved and solidly ripe tannins, all wrapped in a balanced and lingering finish. This is impressively rich and dramatic Musigny, it's not in the same league as some of Mugnier's very best vintages.
